Os Resíduos Sólidos da Construção Civil são objetos de estudos frequentemente nas últimas décadas devido ao seu alto volume e baixa possibilidade de aplicação após o seu descarte. Contudo, a disposição irregular desses resíduos pode gerar problemas de ordem estética, ambiental e de saúde pública, pois nesses resíduos também há presença de material orgânico e de produtos químicos. Nesse cenário, estudos dos resíduos de construções estão em amplificação, buscando contribuir para a sustentabilidade do meio ambiente. Este estudo de caso busca selecionar e estimar o volume de entulho da classe A e resíduos da classe C depositados em área pública destinada para RCCD do município de Gurupi – TO. A pesquisa conclui que a cidade possui uma indústria da construção aquecida que demanda de alta quantidade de materiais da construção e por consequência, gerando um alto volume de resíduos que são descartado de forma clandestina (em calçadas, próximo aos córregos ou terrenos baldios) ou tem sua destinação o aterro da cidade destinado aos resíduos da construção civil da cidade. Mediante a esses fatos, a pesquisa foi apresentou medidas que podem ser aplicadas afim de, destinar esses materiais do aterro para outras finalidades, até mesmo para que possam voltar a indústria da construção civil.
