ANÁLISE EPIDEMIOLÓGICA DOS ÓBITOS POR SUICÍDIO NO ESTADO DO PARANÁ ENTRE 2012 E 2022

O artigo analisa as taxas de suicídio no Paraná de 2012 a 2022, destacando a importância de compreender esse fenômeno multifatorial para melhorar a saúde mental pública, fornece informações que auxiliam na formulação de políticas de saúde mental e prevenção do suicídio, além de contribuir para novos estudos sobre o bem-estar populacional. A partir de dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade (SIM) e do DATASUS, foram analisados óbitos por suicídio segundo variáveis sociodemográficas, como idade, sexo, raça e escolaridade, além de métodos utilizados, categorizados no CID10 (X60-X84). Os dados revelam que as taxas de suicídio no estado aumentaram 46,43% ao longo da década, com um perfil predominante de vítimas do sexo masculino, faixa etária de 20 a 59 anos, de pele branca, e com ensino médio incompleto. A análise ainda destaca que a população indígena apresenta as maiores taxas proporcionais de suicídio, em especial os jovens, enfatizando o impacto das transformações socioculturais.
