Plano de Recuperação de Áreas Degradadas, Impactos ambientais.Abstract
This work presents a Plan for the Recovery of Degraded Areas (PRAD) for the Mamanguape River in Matinhas. Irresponsible exploitation, deforestation, and inadequate agricultural practices were identified as the main environmental impacts. The proposed PRAD aims to restore the stability of the riverbanks, reduce erosion and siltation, enhance water quality, and foster biodiversity. Using natural regeneration techniques and planting pioneer seedlings, the plan seeks a sustainable approach to mitigate the damages. The assessment of technical and economic feasibility demonstrated the plan's viability, considering inputs such as seedlings, seeds, soil preparation, monitoring, and administrative costs. The importance of partnerships and specific materials for project success is emphasized. It is concluded that the PRAD is essential for the restoration of the riverine ecosystem, emphasizing the need for effective implementation and collaboration among different entities. The plan represents a crucial opportunity for conserving natural resources and environmental preservation for future generations.
