DOENÇA DE CROHN E O TRATAMENTO COM MEDICAMENTOS BIOLÓGICOS: USO E PERSPECTIVAS
Abstract
A doença de Crohn é uma doença inflamatória grave e crônica dos intestinos delgado e grosso. Os sintomas incluem dor abdominal, diarréia, sangramento e perda de peso. A presente pesquisa buscou analisar doença de Crohn (DC) e o tratamento com medicamentos biológicos. Sabe que é caracterizada principalmente por inflamação crônica do trato gastrointestinal com etiologia ainda não totalmente esclarecida. Questiona-se como os medicamentos biológicos têm sido utilizados para o tratamento de diversas doenças, e seus efeitos colaterais são geralmente leves. Entende-se que os efeitos colaterais mais frequentes são desconforto no local da punção, cansaço no mesmo dia ou nos dias seguintes, dor de cabeça, dor abdominal, náusea e febre. O tratamento de um paciente diagnosticado com doença de Crohn será definido pela localização inflamatória e pela gravidade do surto da doença. Por esse motivo, tenta-se classificar a gravidade das manifestações clínicas na forma de índices de atividade, uma vez que a doença alterna períodos de surtos com períodos de remissão em que o paciente é assintomático.
