PEDAGOGICAL ACTIVITIES FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: GAMES AND PLAY

The first five years of age are essential for the formation of the human being. During this phase, everything that is learned is imprinted for the rest of their lives, and it is important that children have access to activities and experiences that help them develop in a playful, creative way, stimulating their autonomy and creativity. The use of games and play is a pedagogical proposal linked to educational activities that can be used as a distraction for children at playtime and in spare moments that are gaining ground and importance, especially as a resource for the development and learning of cognitive, social, affective and motor skills. In view of the above, the aim of this study was to show the importance of games and play in early childhood education and to present the main games used as teaching activities. The study was based on a systematic review of the literature with research and analysis of books, scientific articles and other academic documents related to the theme, being qualitative in nature and with the aim of gathering information on the use of games and play in early childhood education and synthesizing them into a document, mainly for didactic use. Based on the research carried out, it was possible to see that pedagogical activities are extremely important to ensure the success of children's teaching and learning. The main games and games cited as pedagogical activities help to develop reasoning and help children to expand their knowledge, as well as being motivating and providing socialization.
