CHANGES IN LAND COVER AND USE DUE TO PASTURE AND OIL PALM ACTIVITIES IN CONCÓRDIA, STATE OF PARÁ

This study investigates changes in land cover and use due to pasture and oil palm activities in the municipality of Concórdia, Pará state, from 1992 to 2022. The data were processed using the MapBiomas Project mapping. The results showed the low percentage of vegetation cover and the high predominance of pasture in the municipality of Concórdia. It is worth noting that the use of MapBiomas is an interesting tool since it not only generated subsidies for determining the distribution of land use and cover, but also opened up a series of research possibilities related to environmental analysis and management that can be carried out in the municipality.
