This article reports the experience of monitoring a 6-year-old student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Early Childhood Education, highlighting the challenges and progress observed. The research is qualitative, it was carried out in a private school in the city of São Luís-MA. Through playful activities, such as music, thematic projects and English classes, the student showed advances in motor, social and language skills, in addition to standing out as collaborative and friendly. However, they still face difficulties in dealing with losses in games and participating in social activities, such as dancing. The tutor, when seeking knowledge about ASD, adapted teaching strategies to create a welcoming environment, highlighting the importance of continuous support and inclusion. Experience has shown that, with appropriate approaches, it is possible to promote the student's integral development and facilitate their social integration.
