ETARISMO EM MULHERES MADURAS: UMA ANÁLISE DOS IMPACTOS PSICOLÓGICOS E POSSIBILIDADES DE INTERVENÇÃO COM TERAPIA COGNITIVO-COMPORTAMENTAL

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar o impacto do etarismo na vida psicológica de mulheres maduras, bem como refletir sobre a Terapia Cognitivo-Comportamental (TCC) como ferramenta eficaz de intervenção. A discriminação etária, associada ao machismo, reforça a invisibilidade e o afastamento das mulheres com mais de 45 anos do mercado de trabalho e dos espaços de representatividade social. Através de revisão bibliográfica, observou-se que os estigmas sociais geram prejuízos emocionais como baixa autoestima, isolamento e depressão. A TCC surge como abordagem eficaz para a reestruturação cognitiva e o fortalecimento do autoconceito dessas mulheres, promovendo uma visão mais positiva e inclusiva do envelhecimento feminino. O estudo evidencia a necessidade de ampliar as discussões sobre o etarismo de gênero e propor práticas terapêuticas e socioculturais que valorizem a mulher em todas as fases da vida.
