REFLEXÕES SOBRE A ÁREA DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE DO RIO COXIPÓ E O CÓDIGO FLORESTAL BRASILEIRO

O modelo econômico instituído pelo capital, em nível global, implantou uma relação sociedade natureza extremamente predatória e, por vezes, irracional. A legislação ambiental apresenta situações que precisam ser pensadas, haja vista seu impacto nas ações humanas. Neste sentido, o objetivo deste texto foi analisar como as Áreas de Preservação Permanente estão legisladas no atual Código Florestal, refletindo sobre as mudanças ocorridas desde o Código Florestal de 1965. As Áreas de Preservação Permanente são de suma importância para manutenção da qualidade hídrica dos cursos d’água, seu estado de conservação e sua condição de resguardar o canal natural de drenagem no que compete à preservação do solo por meio de sua vegetação nativa, evitando assoreamento de seu leito e degradação de suas margens, sendo uma medida de prevenção e conservação determinada pela legislação em vigor.
