DIMENSÕES PSICOSSOCIAIS DO RACISMO E O SUJEITO EM SOFRIMENTO:
Possíveis contribuições da Psicologia para a construção da identidade da pessoa negra

É inegável que o racismo produz e reproduz sofrimentos variados naquele que o enfrenta. Este trabalho visa demonstrar como o preconceito e a discriminação racial atinge a saúde mental da pessoa negra e como essa modalidade da violência influencia na construção da sua identidade e subjetividade. Para tal, o texto se vale de uma revisão bibliográfica da produção científica acerca da temática principal, aliando a uma pesquisa acerca do papel da Psicologia no auxílio da pessoa negra a reconstruir sua singularidade violada. A identidade, como espaço de construção do sujeito psicológico, parece estar em constante tribulação naqueles que experienciam constantemente atos e discursos racistas. Isto posto, faz-se essencial estudar as relações existentes entre o racismo e os modos da construção identitária e subjetiva do ser.
