A construção de rodovias traz consigo uma série de benefícios com relação a logística de transporte entre locais, no entanto a sua criação acaba por causar impactos ambientais, o que causa o comparativo indireto entre benefício e impacto ambiental. Este artigo tem como objetivo fazer um levantamento de impactos ambientais causados pela construção e uso de rodovias, além de propor e analisar a eficiência dos meios de mitigação. Para atender os objetivos foi realizada umarevisão bibliográfica, que tem como premissa de reunir artigos científicos relevantes referentes ao tema. Para atender a narrativa foi realizada uma descrição dos problemas e medidas mitigadoras utilizando-se de pesquisas publicadas em periódicos no período entre janeiro e dezembro de 2022. Os resultados apontaram que os impactos relacionados a construção de uma rodovia vão desde a sua etapa de construção até depois da finalização de sua construção, durante seu uso, ocasionando principalmente em uma grande quantidade de animais mortos por atropelamento. A reflexão acerca da alteração do meio ao qual as rodovias são construídas são de extrema importância. Atualmente é notório alguns desses impactos como por exemplo a quantidade de animais mortos por atropelamento. Com o objetivo de atrair atenção para o tema, o trabalho apontará os impactos das rodovias ao meio ambiente e ao mesmo tempo analisar alguns dos métodos empregados para reduzir esses efeitos.
