A IMPORTÂNCIA DA INTERVENÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA NO PROCESSO DE VALIDAÇÃO DA PRESCRIÇÃO: GARANTIA DE SEGURANÇA E EFETIVIDADE TERAPÊUTICA

Pharmaceutical intervention plays a crucial role, since it plays an extremely important role, since it is fundamental to ensure the safety and effectiveness of drug therapy, through the validation of medical prescriptions. The objective of the present study was to highlight the role of the pharmacist through pharmaceutical interventions, demonstrating the importance of this professional in the monitoring of the patient's pharmacotherapy, through the search in scientific databases between the years 2019 and 2023. The selection of articles to guide the research was based on the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. Performed in the Pubmed, Scielo and LILACS databases. 10 studies were included in this review because they fit the proposed objective. Pharmaceutical intervention in the prescription validation process is an essential measure to ensure the safety and effectiveness of patients' drug treatment. A significant increase in length of hospital stay, morbidity, mortality and hospital costs, adverse reactions and drug interactions were observed. The active participation of pharmacists in this process helps to avoid potential health risks, will identify, prevent and resolve potential health risks related to the use of medicines. Its expertise contributes to a safer and more effective approach in the treatment of patients, thus improving the quality of life of patients and promoting a more complete and integrated pharmaceutical care.
