The dynamics of becoming, reflected in a special way in contemporary times, impacts the educational process, which finds itself faced with new challenges essential to the establishment of its objectives and practices. This article aims to verify the need for reflection on the teaching of Philosophy in contemporary schools and in the classroom in a constructive and reflective way, so that the results impact on the “modus vivendi” of students and produce results in their lives, school community and society. The methodology used was through exploratory bibliographic research, through renowned authors such as Aranha, Kant and Arendt. With this investigation we can conclude that the teaching of Philosophy plays a vital role in the formation of conscious and active citizens, capable of promoting positive changes in their lives and in society as a whole.
