OBESIDADE EM PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE BRASILEIROS: IMPACTOS E POSSIBILIDADE DE INTERVENÇÃO

A obesidade, definida pela OMS como acúmulo excessivo de gordura corporal, está associada a diversas doenças crônicas e agravada por fatores como estilo de vida sedentário, transtornos alimentares e condições laborais. Este estudo revisou intervenções e impactos da obesidade em profissionais de saúde, com ênfase na atuação da enfermagem. A pesquisa integrativa incluiu publicações entre 2017 e 2022, analisando fatores como estigma, síndrome metabólica e estratégias preventivas. Observou-se alta prevalência de obesidade entre trabalhadores em regime noturno, destacando o impacto na saúde mental, qualidade de vida e produtividade. Enfermeiros desempenham papel crucial na detecção precoce, educação em saúde e implementação de ações preventivas, promovendo mudanças nos hábitos alimentares e no autocuidado. A revisão evidencia a necessidade de capacitação contínua e abordagens holísticas que considerem condições de trabalho e fatores psicossociais, reafirmando a relevância do cuidado de enfermagem na mitigação dos impactos da obesidade em profissionais da saúde.
