DIETA CETOGÊNICA: Aplicações Terapêuticas e Evidências Científicas

A dieta cetogênica tem se destacado como uma estratégia nutricional com relevantes aplicações terapêuticas em diferentes condições clínicas. Este trabalho apresenta uma revisão da literatura científica sobre os principais usos terapêuticos da dieta cetogênica, reunindo evidências atuais sobre sua eficácia, segurança e limitações. A análise contempla tanto aplicações consolidadas, como no manejo da epilepsia refratária, quanto aplicações emergentes, incluindo distúrbios metabólicos, neurológicos e condições inflamatórias. Também são discutidos os potenciais benefícios clínicos, os possíveis efeitos adversos e as lacunas existentes na literatura. Ao final, o estudo busca oferecer uma visão crítica e atualizada sobre a viabilidade da dieta cetogênica como intervenção nutricional terapêutica baseada em evidências.
