LEVANTAMENTO ETNOBOTÂNICO DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS NO COLÉGIO ESTADUAL PROFESSORA JANE ASSIS PEIXOTO

O uso popular das plantas medicinais é uma prática antiga, que tem sido propagada oralmente por gerações. A etnobotânica na escola, além de possibilitar a transmissão de um conhecimento que passa de gerações, favorece o aprendizado, pois, acontece uma troca de informações entre alunos, pais e professores. Nessa perspectiva, faz-se necessário o levantamento etnobotânico no espaço escolar como forma de resgate e valorização dos saberes populares que os alunos da Educação Básica trazem consigo. Portanto, este projeto tem o seguinte questionamento: Quais plantas medicinais são utilizadas pelos alunos do Colégio Estadual Professora Jane Assis Peixoto? A partir disso, este trabalho buscou realizar um levantamento etnobotânico com os estudantes da zona Rural e Urbana. Foram realizadas entrevistas com os alunos do Colégio Estadual Professora Jane Assis Peixoto de Posto da Mata (Bahia), 7 estudantes da área rural e 7 da área urbana, buscando compreender se estes fazem uso e de que forma fazem uso das plantas medicinais. Para o levantamento etnobotânico realizado, adotou-se o método de entrevista semiestruturada, com perguntas relacionadas ao nome popular da planta, indicação, forma de preparo e parte da planta. Houve uma predominância na citação dos entrevistados referente a folha como principal parte da planta e como forma de preparo, o chá. Apenas 8 (oito) etnoespécies citadas pelos dois grupos (zona rural e urbana): Boldo, babosa, hortelã, Poejo, Erva cidreira, erva doce, noz moscada e pição. Por se tratar de um estudo etnobotânico, esperava-se mais citações de etnoespécies, porém este resultado não foi alcançado. Os estudantes possuem este conhecimento através dos saberes transmitidos pelos pais, avós, ou seja, saber transmitido de geração a geração.
