REFLEXÃO SOBRE A SAÚDE MENTAL DOS PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM DURANTE A PANDEMIA DE COVID-19

Diante do cenário de pandemia de COVID-19 os profissionais de saúde foi um dos grupos mais afetados, visto que na linha de frente foram mais expostos e suscetíveis a risco de contágio e sofrimento emocional, afetando consideravelmente sua saúde mental. O presente estudo objetiva refletir sobre a saúde mental dos profissionais de enfermagem durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa de literatura. Considera–se que a pandemia de COVID-19 causou grande impacto na saúde mental dos profissionais da saúde, potencializando sintomas como depressão, ansiedade, insônia, angustia e estresse. Aponta-se como causa do agravamento desses sintomas e adoecimento psíquico da categoria: turnos exaustivos de trabalho, falta ou escassez de EPIs, risco de autocontaminação e de seus familiares, isolamento social, morte de pacientes e risco eminente de morte. Portanto, identifica-se necessário novos estudos que ampliem e analisem a relação da saúde mental e o trabalho dos profissionais da enfermagem, visando, intervir com estratégias de enfrentamento para minimizar o sofrimento e adoecimento psíquico destes profissionais principalmente caso ocorra novos surtos de COVID-19 e outras possíveis pandemias/epidemias.
