ATUAÇÃO FISIOTERAPEUTA NA REABILITAÇÃO PULMONAR DO PACIENTE COM ELA

A esclerose lateral amiotrófica (ELA) ou também conhecida como doença de Lou Gehring e Charcot é uma doença degenerativa que afeta o sistema nervoso central. Os mecanismos fisiopatológicos da ELA podem ser distinguidos com base em hipóteses causais. A fisioterapia desempenha um papel importante nos cuidados paliativos de pacientes diagnosticados com ELA. A maioria dos artigos em estudo descreve a importância do uso de ventilação mecânica não invasiva (VNI). No caso desses pacientes, representa um avanço na terapia intensiva.Sendo assim tem-se como objetivo deste trabalho analisar a atuação fisioterapeuta na reabilitação pulmonar do paciente com ELA. A abordagem do referido estudo foi uma revisão na literatura, que observa os procedimentos metodológicos de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, com fontes materiais de autores que abordem o tema em artigos científicos, livros, revistas e sites do período de 2010 a 2022. A reabilitação é fundamental para ajudar os pacientes com ELA a viver da maneira mais confortável e funcional possível. Os cuidadores podem fornecer apoio e recursos para ajudar os pacientes a completar os tratamentos e atividades de reabilitação. Uma variedade de fisioterapia e terapias de cuidados estão disponíveis para ajudar os pacientes a recuperar a função e a força de seus músculos respiratórios. A reabilitação também pode ajudar os pacientes a aprender novas estratégias de enfrentamento e recuperar sua qualidade de vida.
