DESAFIOS PARA A INCLUSÃO DOS HOMENS NOS SERVIÇOS DE ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA À SAÚDE

A saúde do homem é um assunto que tem sido pauta de discussão em vários estudos nos últimos anos, tendo em vista o aumento nos índices de mortalidade da população masculina no país. Este trabalho tem como objetivo, discutir as dificuldades de adesão dos homens nos cuidados primários em saúde e ao mesmo tempo buscar estratégias que possibilitem a sua inclusão. A ausência dos homens nos serviços de saúde no Brasil é um desafio que deve ser discutido pelas políticas públicas e pelos profissionais de saúde, que ao atuarem na prevenção e promoção possibilitam uma maior qualidade de vida a essa parcela da população. Faz-se necessário, adotar medidas que sensibilizem os homens a buscarem o cuidado em relação a sua saúde, tendo a atenção primária como a porta de entrada para que isso aconteça. Dessa maneira torna-se necessário o preparo da equipe de saúde, para acolhê-los de forma humanizada e com a devida atenção. A enfermagem enquanto parte da equipe deve identificar as necessidades específicas dessa importante parcela da população, planejando estratégias que consiga uma maior adesão dos mesmosaos serviços de saúde.
