The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological profile of mothers of newborns with congenital syphilis in the state of Goiás, from 2015 to 2024. This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, developed from secondary data obtained from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN), available in the DATASUS database. Variables related to age group, maternal education, prenatal care, timing of diagnosis, and partner treatment were analyzed. The results showed 5.593 reported cases, predominantly among young mothers, aged 15 to 34 years, with low education levels and failures in adequate treatment. A higher number of records was observed among pregnant women who received prenatal care, reflecting the expansion of detection and not necessarily an increase in the incidence of the disease. These findings confirm the influence of the social determinants of health and the structural weaknesses of primary care on the persistence of congenital syphilis. It is concluded that there is a predominance of cases in young women, aged between 15 and 34 years, with low levels of education and living in socially vulnerable contexts, which reinforces the influence of social determinants of health on the occurrence of gestational and congenital syphilis.
