AS ATRIBUIÇÕES DO FARMACÊUTICO E O USO INADEQUADO DE ANTIMICROBIANOS

O objetivo deste trabalho foi destacar as atribuições do farmacêutico e o uso inadequado de antimicrobianos. É importante ressaltar que os antimicrobianos são fármacos utilizados no tratamento de doenças infecciosas, porém o uso inadequado é uma das principais preocupações. Para a realização deste trabalho utilizou-se como método de abordagem a revisão bibliográfica do tipo exploratória. Foi realizado um levantamento de artigos científicos na base de dados eletrônicos SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), Google Acadêmico e como critério de inclusão foram selecionados artigos em português do período de 1994 a 2017. Por meio da pesquisa realizada, foi possível perceber que o uso inadequado de antimicrobianos tem contribuído para a disseminação de genes de resistência e que esses podem ser disseminados para a microbiota humana, o que é motivo de grande preocupação. Portanto, o profissional farmacêutico deve estar atento e capacitado para orientar e avaliar as prescrições, bem como, prestar orientações aos pacientes, visto que muitas vezes o mesmo não conhece as possíveis interações medicamentosas ou os riscos a que estão expostos.
