ASSISTÊNCIA DE ENFERMAGEM AO PORTADOR DA ANEMIA FALCIFORME

A doença falciforme é caracterizada pela predominância do gene da hemoglobina S (HbAS) a qual se origina prevalentemente da África e foi introduzida no Brasil pela imigração forçada de africanos. Através da miscigenação, houve o favorecimento de sua dispersão. É uma doença hereditária, inflamatória crônica, permeada de episódios agudos e grandes complicações que alteram a qualidade de vida do portador, tratável, mas incurável, com altas taxas de morbidade e mortalidade. Descrever a assistência de enfermagem ao portador da anemia falciforme. Foram realizadas consultas em fontes bibliográficas e para obter um referencial mais rico sobre o tema pesquisado, também foram utilizadas revistas científicas e livros que abordam o tema bem como as novas tecnologias de acesso à informação por intermédio da internet em páginas oficiais e de fontes científicas. Estudos apontam que a dor é uma constante nos pacientes que apresentam a anemia falciforme, crises álgicas ocorrem inesperadamente e o enfermeiro pode atuar como educador para o paciente e sua família, orientando-os a se tornarem capazes no manejo das intervenções prescritas. A absorção de conhecimentos acerca da doença falciforme pelos profissionais de enfermagem é de suma importância para orientação e assistência ao paciente acometido dessa enfermidade e também à famíliaIncluir o resumo.
