PERFIL DA QUALIDADE DE VIDA EM IDOSOS ATIVOS E INSUFICIENTEMENTE ATIVOS DO MUNICÍPIO DE NOVO TRIUNFO (BA)

O envelhecimento é um processo gradual e irreversível que provoca uma perda funcional no indivíduo. Nesse sentido, destaca-se a prática de atividade física na promoção de saúde e da qualidade de vida. O estudo tem o objetivo de analisar o perfil de qualidade de vida em idosos ativos e insuficientemente ativos de Novo Triunfo (BA). A amostra foi constituída por 30 idosos (sendo 15 ativos e 15 insuficientemente ativos), de ambos os sexos, com idades entre 60 e 85 anos. Foram utilizados como questionários o IPAQ e o WHOQOL-BREF. Nos resultados, observou-se maior prevalência de qualidade de vida nos idosos suficientemente ativos. Assim, conclui-se que a atividade física para o idoso torna-se necessário na parte dos cuidados, na promoção, prevenção e no controle de tantas doenças.
