This study aimed to highlight the importance of the actions of the family health strategy to improve the quality of care for older people with mental illness. age, highlighting the care of the Family Health Strategy in the mental health of the elderly. In the end, it was considered that a well-developed strategy with the family and the elderly contributes to healthy aging, disease prevention, the recovery of the health of the elderly with mental illness and the rehabilitation of those who may have restricted functional capacity. , in order to guarantee their permanence in the environment in which they live, independently exercising their functions in society.
