A PSICOPATIA SOB A ÓTICA DA CRIMINOLOGIA

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo discorrer a relação entre a Psicopatia e as ciências que estudam o tema, como a Psicologia e Psiquiatria Jurídicas, bem como a Criminologia para, assim, investigar o transtorno mental da psicopatia, para tanto conceituado pela Organização Mundial de Saúde. O trabalho aborda as características marcantes do psicopata e elucida a distinção entre a psicopatia, a sociopatia e os demais transtornos mentais também apresentados pela Organização Mundial de Saúde. Por fim, conclui-se que tal perturbação está conectada a diversas áreas da personalidade, sendo anomalias do desenvolvimento psiquiátrico, bem como psicológico e sendo finalmente consideradas pela criminologia como perturbações da saúde mental. De acordo com consoante entendimento de um dos autores fundamentados no presente trabalho, os transtornos de personalidade são de extrema importância no campo policial-forense, tendo em vista que seus portadores muitas vezes se envolvem em atos criminosos e é exatamente neste ponto que a Criminologia se destaca como ciência ao estudar tais indivíduos.
