ASSISTÊNCIA NUTRICIONAL AO PACIENTE COM DIAGNÓSTICO DE COVID 19 DURANTE A INTERNAÇÃO

O presente estudo trata-se de pesquisa baseada em um levantamento bibliográfico qualitativo e descritivo, através de livros, artigos informativos e publicações em bases de dados científicas, com o objetivo realizar uma revisão de literatura acerca da assistência nutricional aos pacientes acometidos com COVID 19, enfatizando os processos de triagem, avaliação e tratamento nutricional, que são importantes na prevenção das complicações e para a recuperação adequada do paciente. A COVID-19 é doença infecciosa causada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2, uma síndrome respiratória que pode ser assintomática ou pode manifestar sintomas graves principalmente em pacientes do grupo de risco como pessoas com comorbidades, gestantes, imunossuprimidos e idosos. Estudos mostram que a COVID 19 tem influência no estado nutricional de pacientes internados, comprometendo ainda mais o quadro clínico do paciente. A assistência nutricional tem papel fundamental, tanto sob o aspecto da recuperação dos pacientes quanto para o monitoramento, evitando complicações. Ela após a triagem compreende avaliação e tratamento nutricional do paciente, bem como o monitoramento. Sendo assim a assistência nutricional individualizada e adequada é essencial para manter e fortalecer o sistema imunológico, melhorando prognóstico, reduzindo o tempo de internação e mortalidade dos pacientes com COVID 19.
