Restoration of anterior primary teeth with significant coronal destruction is a prevalent challenge in pediatric dentistry. This study aims to investigate the applicability and effectiveness of acetate matrices for the rehabilitation of these teeth, aiming to offer an alternative that combines improved aesthetics with functionality. Using a literature review approach, the article analyzes several case studies and scientific articles that discuss the use of acetate matrices in clinical settings. The results indicate that these matrices provide an efficient, aesthetically pleasing and minimally invasive restoration, preserving a greater amount of healthy dental tissue compared to traditional methods such as stainless steel crowns and ceramic restorations. The analysis highlighted the advantages of acetate matrices, including ease of application and positive acceptance by children, attributes that are fundamental to the success of pediatric treatments. However, despite the observed benefits, the technique requires precision and a detailed understanding of the properties of the materials used to ensure the long-term durability and effectiveness of restorations. This study concludes that acetate matrices represent a promising solution for pediatric dentistry, capable of significantly improving the quality of restorative treatment in young patients
