Editorial Policies & Publishing Ethics
The Revista Multidisciplinar do Nordeste Mineiro (REMUNOM) adopts high ethical and editorial standards, being committed to scientific integrity, editorial transparency, and the quality of the publication process. The policies outlined below guide authors, reviewers, editors, and readers, ensuring good academic practices and the reliability of the scholarly record.
1. Editorial Ethics and Good Practices
REMUNOM conducts its editorial processes in an ethical, impartial, and transparent manner. All manuscripts are evaluated exclusively based on academic merit, originality, scientific relevance, and methodological rigor, without discrimination regarding institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, political orientation, or personal beliefs. Editorial decisions are independent of commercial or institutional interests.
2. Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to REMUNOM undergo double-blind peer review.
The editorial process includes:

Initial editorial screening to assess scope, compliance with submission guidelines, and preliminary originality;

3. Authorship and Contributions

Guest, honorary, or ghost authorship is not accepted.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of a manuscript. When no conflicts exist, this must be explicitly stated.
5. Plagiarism and Scientific Misconduct
REMUNOM does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication or falsification, inappropriate citation practices, or any other form of scientific misconduct.
Manuscripts may be screened using similarity detection tools. Suspected cases are analyzed by the editorial board and may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, or notification of the relevant institutions, depending on the severity of the case.
6. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
When significant errors, inaccuracies, or ethical issues are identified after publication, the journal may:

7. Use of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence tools may be used to support writing or data analysis, provided that:

They are not listed as authors.
Authors remain fully responsible for the content of the published manuscript.
8. Research Ethics Involving Humans and Animals
Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable national and international ethical standards. When applicable, ethics committee approval and informed consent must be declared.
9. Data Availability and Reproducibility
REMUNOM encourages transparency and reproducibility. Whenever possible, authors should indicate the availability of data, code, or materials used in the study, in accordance with ethical, legal, and confidentiality requirements.
10. Digital Preservation
REMUNOM adopts digital preservation policies to ensure continuous and permanent access to its published content, using archiving and backup systems compatible with international standards for scholarly preservation.
