O Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH) é um transtorno neurobiológico, de causas genéticas, com maior prevalência em crianças em idade escolar, acompanhando-as por toda a vida. Realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir o processo do diagnóstico e a atuação de psicólogos e professores frente à criança diagnosticada com TDAH. Os resultados apontam que o referido transtorno caracteriza-se por sintomas de desatenção, hiperatividade e impulsividade, e pode ter um grande impacto na vida de seus portadores e também das pessoas com quem esses convivem (amigos, pais, professores), podendo levar a dificuldades emocionais, de relacionamento familiar e social, bem como a um baixo desempenho escolar.
