Este artigo tem como objetivo demonstrar como a busca desenfreada pelas cirurgias plásticas pode gerar casos irreversíveis de danos estéticos, gerados pela negligência médica do profissional da saúde, sendo aplicado o instituto da responsabilidade civil como forma de proteger os direitos da vítima no atual ordenamento jurídico brasileiro, observando o entendimento de que a integridade física e emocional do ser humano merece amparo jurídico. A metodologia consiste em uma pesquisa bibliográfica e explicativa, a partir de uma coleta de dados e opiniões acerca do exposto
