CAUSAS E IMPLICAÇÕES DO PRECONCEITO RACIAL NA SOCIEDADE BRASILEIRA

Entende-se por preconceito racial uma disposição, opinião ou atitude desfavorável, culturalmente direcionada a determinado indivíduo de uma sociedade, devido a cor da pele ou ascendência étnica a que pertence, crença internalizada que interfere no seu modo de agir e pensar com relação a outra pessoa. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, este trabalho tem por objetivo demonstrar o papel dos colonizadores na formação do preconceito racial, bem como, identificar suas consequências na atual sociedade brasileira, desde a infância à fase adulta, e como isso interfere na vida dessas pessoas discriminadas. Os achados da revisão literária apontam a culpa dos colonizadores, embasando-se no regime escravocrata que imperou por mais de três séculos no Brasil, assim como, a baixa autoestima como uma das principais consequências do preconceito racial, responsável pelo isolamento e dificuldades de relações sociais. É necessário identificar esta característica internalizada e aceitá-la como sinônimo de ignorância, pois o preconceito racial fere o Princípio da Dignidade da Pessoa Humana, violando assim o conceito de Estado Democrático de Direito. A metodologia utilizada foi uma análise literária.
