PREVENÇÃO DE PROGRESSIVOS DÉFICITS COGNITIVOS EM PACIENTE DIAGNOSTICADO COM ESQUIZOFRENIA

The most recent concept of schizophrenia indicates a chronic idiopathic psychosis, indicating that it is a set of different diseases with similar and overlapping symptoms. In this sense, the objective of the present study is to analyze the main challenges faced by schizophrenic patients and their caregivers, aiming to develop pertinent proposals for the prevention of progressive damage, psychomotor and cognitive rehabilitation, in order to minimize social and communication impairments. This is a bibliographic study, of the systematic review type, and the technical support was obtained from the Scielo, Lilacs, BVS and Google Scholar databases. The data were presented in text and the conclusion was that schizophrenia affects not only health, but also the patient's cognition, function, autonomy and independence.

O conceito mais recente de esquizofrenia indica uma psicose crônica idiopática, indicando ser um conjunto de diferentes doenças com sintomas que se assemelham e se sobrepõem. Nesse sentido, o objetivo do presente estudo é analisar os principais desafios enfrentados pelo paciente esquizofrénico e seu cuidador, visando elaborar propostas pertinentes de prevenção de danos progressivos, reabilitação psicomotora e cognitiva, com o fim de minimizar os prejuízos sociais e da comunicação. Trata-se de um estudo bibliográfico, do tiporevisão sistemática, como aporte técnico foram consultadas bases de dados do Scielo, Lilacs, BVS e Google Acadêmico. Os dados foram apresentados em texto e como conclusão notou-se a esquizofrenia não afeta apenas a saúde, mas também a cognição, a função, a autonomia e independência do paciente.
