ESTRATÉGIAS DE IMPLANTAÇÃO DO PLANO DE DESCARTE DE MEDICAMENTOS VENCIDOS NA CIDADE DE TEÓFILO OTONI-MG

Os medicamentos vencidos são resíduos que, descartados inconsequentemente, podem trazer malefícios à saúde pública e ao meio ambiente, pois muitos deles são persistentes, se acumulando no solo, podendo contaminar água e alimentos. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho científico, tem como objetivo principal demonstrar a importância de um local adequado para o descarte de medicamentos vencidos na cidade de Teófilo Otoni-MG. Portanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de levantamento de campo com os profissionais da saúde e usuários de medicamentos, através de questionários abordando sobre o risco do descarte incorreto de medicamentos. Como resultado, destaca-se que a população não recebe orientação quanto ao descarte correto dos medicamentos, levando-os a descartar de forma indevida, sem preocupações com a saúde pública e meio ambiente.
