COVID-19 E INFECÇÕES SIMULTÂNEAS:
uma revisão de literatura

Diversos casos de superinfecção associadas aos pacientes com COVID-19 têm sido relatados. Entre os agentes oportunistas foram descritos alguns vírus, fungos e bactérias. Objetivo deste estudo foi caracterizar os aspectos clínicos dos clientes coinfectados com coronavírus e outro agente oportunista. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, retrospectiva, com recorte temporal de 2016 a 2021, através de busca eletrônica na base de dados Google Acadêmico, Ministério da Saúde e Pubmed (oferecido pela biblioteca nacional de medicina dos estados unidos). Os resultados obtidos pelas literaturas alertam que não se pode descartar a infecção por SARS-CoV-2 simultânea com outros patógenos, pois podem contribuir em resultados falsonegativos e até mesmo agravar o quadro de pacientes com COVID-19. Conclui-se que a explicação mais consistente para as coinfecções é o comprometimento do sistema imunológico, que abre uma janela para os vírus, fungos e bactérias que acometem clientes de todas as idades.
