A importância da prescrição farmacêutica

O presente artigo científico tem o intuito de discorrer acerca da temática relacionada aos riscos da automedicação, destacando a importância da prescrição farmacêutica. Sabe-se que os medicamentos possuem uma função bastante relevante para as pessoas, pois melhoram a saúde e salvam vidas. Porém, o uso desregrado, sem a devida orientação profissional, também colabora para a existência de problemas de saúde. Como objetivo geral, busca-se analisar os eventuais malefícios da automedicação e o valor da atuação do farmacêutico perante essa conduta. Quanto aos objetivos específicos almeja-se realizar uma breve contextualização sobre os medicamentos; descrever o fenômeno da automedicação; mencionar os riscos associados ao uso indiscriminado de medicamentos; e enfatizar a função da prescrição farmacêutica no combate à automedicação. É essencial chamar a atenção para tal aspecto, já que mais da metade dos brasileiros faz uso de medicação por conta própria. Por fim, frisa-se que a pesquisa é qualitativa, sendo baseada no método dedutivo, com o proveito da revisão bibliográfica.
