O FEMINICÍDIO SOB A ÓTICA DA LEI MARIA DA PENHA E A LEI 13.104/15

This article aims to analyze the problem of femicide from the perspective of the Maria da Penha Law and the legislative amendment nº 13.104/15. Feminicide is a heinous crime that occurs when a woman is killed because of her gender. In Brazil, the Maria da Penha Law, created in 2006, made feminicide a heinous crime and established measures to prevent violence against women. In 2015, Law 13.104/15 included feminicide in the Brazilian Penal Code as a qualifier for homicide, increasing the penalties for this type of crime. Through the analysis of doctrines, jurisprudence and national historicity, the result of the study described below was obtained.
