It is extremely important to investigate and understand the use of medications to treat autism symptoms in children, with the aim of improving their quality of life. Furthermore, it is essential to personalize therapeutic approaches, offering safer and more appropriate treatments for each child, taking into account their specific needs and individual characteristics. This involves combining scientific and clinical approaches to investigate the use of medications in the treatment of children with autism, analyzing the effects of available pharmacological treatments, their efficacy, safety and impact on the development of children with autism. Child psychopharmacology in the autistic spectrum has shown advances in the treatment of behavioral symptoms, but there are still significant gaps, especially regarding the treatment of social and communication difficulties. It is essential that the use of medications is carefully monitored and personalized, with the aim of improving the quality of life of children.
