THE IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CONFIDENCE IN ADOLESCENCE: BUILDING A POSITIVE IDENTITY

The article analyzes the importance of self-confidence during adolescence and how to cultivate it for healthy development. The goal is to prepare young people for the challenges of adult life with resilience. The research used a qualitative approach, combining literature review and case study analysis. Academic texts and interviews with educators and psychologists were examined, along with data on the impact of social media and family dynamics on adolescents' self-esteem. The analysis identified barriers and strategies to create a supportive environment, essential for strengthening self-confidence and empathy. The article concludes that developing self-confidence is crucial for a positive identity, emphasizing that collective actions involving family, school, and society are necessary to support adolescents in this process
