A INSERÇÃO DA LIBRAS NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: CAMINHOS PARA A INCLUSÃO LINGUÍSTICA DE ESTUDANTES SURDOS

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a inserção da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS) no Ensino Fundamental como instrumento de promoção da inclusão linguística de estudantes surdos. A pesquisa é de caráter qualitativo, com base em revisão bibliográfica e documental, discutindo os avanços legais e pedagógicos no reconhecimento da LIBRAS como língua oficial da comunidade surda e sua implementação nas escolas. Identificam-se desafios, como a formação de professores, a presença de intérpretes e a adaptação curricular, além das potencialidades da educação bilíngue. Conclui-se que a efetiva inclusão linguística exige políticas públicas comprometidas, formação continuada dos profissionais e valorização da identidade surda no espaço escolar.
