ABORDAGEM FISIOTERAPÊUTICA NAS LESÕES DO MANGUITO ROTADOR EM ATLETAS DE VOLEIBOL

O voleibol é um esporte que exige força e flexibilidade dos músculos e tendões devido à dinâmica e aos movimentos específicos aplicados ao esporte, fator que pode ocasionar o aparecimento de várias lesões, como por exemplo, no manguito rotador, pela exigência do complexo do ombro nos movimentos repetitivos de saque e ataque. Neste contexto, este trabalho realiza uma abordagem sobre a lesão do manguito rotador em atletas de voleibol, apresentando através de uma revisão bibliográfica o complexo do ombro, suas funções, seus movimentos na prática do vôlei, as lesões decorrentes destes movimentos e opções de tratamento e prevenção. Concluiu-se que apesar da frequência deste tipo de lesão, um diagnóstico precoce e o acompanhamento sistemático do fisioterapeuta no treinamento dos atletas são de suma importância no tratamento e prevenção das lesões do ombro.
