FATORES ASSOCIADOS À AUTOESTIMA E SATISFAÇÃO COM A VIDA EM MULHERES QUE SE SUBMETERAM A PROCEDIMENTOS ESTÉTICOS

Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar os fatores associados, bem como a correlação, entre a satisfação com a vida e a autoestima em mulheres que se submeteram a procedimentos estéticos. Trata-se de um estudo transversal analítico e quantitativo que utilizou um questionário sociodemográfico, Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg e Escala de Satisfação com a Vida. A amostra foi de 146 mulheres que já se submeteram a procedimentos estéticos. A coleta de dados foi realizada virtualmente por via Google Forms entre junho e setembro de 2025. Fatores sociodemográficos e pessoais associados a maior escore de autoestima foram: mulheres entre 46 e 59 anos (p=0,0379), com pós-graduação (p=0,001), que se sentem confiantes com a sua aparência (p=0,0010), que se submeteram a procedimentos estéticos por influência de pessoas próximas (p=0,0073), que se sentiram satisfeitas com os procedimentos estéticos (p=0,0189), que não sentem necessidade de realizar mais procedimentos estéticos (p=0,0020), que se sentem bonitas e atraentes (p=0,0010), que se sentem satisfeitas com o próprio corpo (p<0,0001) e que não acreditam que a busca por aparência ideal gere ansiedade (p=0,0020). Fatores sociodemográficos e pessoais associados a maior escore de satisfação com a vida foram: mulheres entre 46 e 59 anos (p=0,0028), casadas (p=0,0029), com pós-graduação (p=0,0010), que se sentem confiantes com a sua aparência (p=0,0010), que realizam procedimentos estéticos semestralmente (p=0,0092), que não sentem necessidade de realizar mais procedimentos estéticos (p=0,0050), que se sentem bonitas e atraentes (p=0,0010), que se sentem satisfeitas com o próprio corpo (p<0,0001) e que não acreditam que a busca por aparência ideal gere ansiedade (p=0,0110). A correlação entre autoestima e satisfação com a vida apresentou um coeficiente de correlação positivo e estatisticamente significativo (Rho=0,688; p<0,0001). Há a necessidade de uma abordagem holística no campo da estética, promovendo um consumo mais saudável e consciente de procedimentos, e assegurando que a intervenção atue como um fator que sustenta a autoestima e a satisfação com a vida nas mulheres.
