EVOLUTION OF INOVAGRO RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL AGRICULTURE (2014-2024)

Recognizing technological innovation as a crucial driver for the development of agribusiness, and INOVAGRO as an important development mechanism, the research sought to understand the distribution and evolution of these investments over the last decade in Rio Grande do Sul. Using a quantitative and descriptive approach, based on secondary data (BACEN), the study analyzed the comparative evolution of the capital contribution and the number of contracts signed annually in the agricultural and livestock sectors. The results obtained suggest that the distribution of the value of INOVAGRO contracts varied significantly in the years 2015 compared to the years 2019 and 2024, but the number of contracts showed no difference over the years. Furthermore, both the value of contracts and the number of contracts remained similar between the agricultural and livestock activities. This work provides insight for public policy makers on financing innovation in the agricultural sector, contributing to the optimization of strategies to promote innovation in Rio Grande do Sul's agribusiness, especially in the context of a sector that seeks greater sustainability and resilience.
