Mastopexy is an invasive surgical procedure with both functional and aesthetic purposes, primarily aimed at correcting breast ptosis and repositioning the Nipple–Areola Complex (NAC), requiring assertive therapeutic management in the postoperative period. In this postoperative context, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) stands out as a therapeutic approach that provides numerous benefits, particularly in the prevention of complications during the recovery process. This study analyzed scientific evidence regarding the contributions of MLD techniques and methods in the postoperative period of patients undergoing mastopexy and other breast surgeries, considering clinical, aesthetic, and functional outcomes. This research is an integrative review conducted using the databases Google Scholar, Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed, and SciELO, with the descriptors: mastopexy surgery, mastopexy postoperative period, and manual lymphatic drainage. Articles published between 2019 and 2025 were included (n = 35); after applying exclusion criteria, 29 were eliminated, resulting in 6 articles for analysis. The results demonstrated the efficacy and efficiency of MLD in the postoperative period of mastopexy and breast surgeries, promoting the following benefits: lymphatic optimization, removal of interstitial fluids, reduction of hematomas, edema, lymphedema, ecchymosis, and complications, improved wound healing, enhanced self-esteem and self-care, and overall clinical, aesthetic, and functional recovery of patients. It is concluded that MLD is an assertive and safe therapeutic intervention that provides numerous progressive benefits in patient recovery, provided it is performed by a qualified aesthetic professional in accordance with each patient’s diagnosis.
