ANÁLISE E INTERVENÇÃO DO USO E OCUPAÇÃO DA ÁREA DE PRESERVAÇÃO PERMANENTE NO BAIRO DA GANGORRINHA EM TEÓFILO OTONI – MG

São caracterizadas áreas de preservação permanente, encontradas no meio rural e urbano, florestas e demais formas, sejam elas cobertas ou não por vegetação natural que se encontram ao longo dos rios ou de qualquer curso d'água, que têm como função ambiental preservar, os recursos hídricos, a paisagem, a estabilidade geológica, a biodiversidade, o fluxo gênico de fauna e flora e também o solo, além de assegurar o bem-estar da população. As APP’s são áreas naturais protegidas contra quaisquer ações antrópicas e totalmente restritas de explorações economicamente direta, seu uso e ocupação da maneira correta, baseado no Código Florestal Brasileiro, garante a quantidade e qualidade da água e a biodiversidade local, para que mantenha a existência dos recursos supracitados. Diante disto, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo a conscientização em função da importância da preservação das áreas de preservação permanente, visto que tanto na zona rural quanto na zona urbana está cada vez mais evidente as consequências do mau uso destas, principalmente nas faixas dos cursos hídricos, e uma análise da situação atual para uma possível retificação da nascente do bairro Gangorrinha em Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais. Para isso foi realizado pesquisas bibliográficas baseados em artigos científicos que tratam do assunto citado e coleta de dados em campo, na referida nascente.
