1. General document configuration

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins:

    • Top: 3.0 cm

    • Bottom: 2.0 cm

    • Left: 3.0 cm

    • Right: 2.0 cm

  • Page numbering:

    • Inserted in the lower right corner, starting from the Introduction section.


2. Font and size

  • Main text: Arial, size 12

  • Titles and subtitles: Arial, size 12, bold

  • Abstracts (Portuguese, English, and Spanish): Arial, size 10

  • Keywords / Palavras-chave / Palabras clave: Arial, size 10

  • Figure, table, and chart captions: Arial, size 10

  • Footnotes (when used): Arial, size 10


3. Spacing

  • Main text: 1.5 line spacing

  • Abstracts: Single spacing (1.0)

  • Titles and subtitles: 1.5 line spacing

  • Figure and table captions: Single spacing

  • References: Single spacing, with a vertical space of 1.5 cm between references


4. Paragraphs, indentation, and text organization

  • Paragraph indentation (main text): 1.25 cm in the first line

  • Abstracts: No paragraph indentation

  • Long quotations (more than 3 lines):

    • 4.0 cm indentation from the left margin

    • Arial font, size 10

    • Single spacing

    • No quotation marks

  • Spacing between paragraphs: Do not add extra spacing before or after paragraphs

  • Spacing between sections: Maintain only the standard text spacing (1.5), without additional blank lines


5. Figures, tables, charts, and illustrations

The use of figures, tables, charts, and other illustrations must follow criteria of scientific relevance, clarity, moderation, and ethical standards, respecting the axiological principles of the scientific community related to the manuscript’s theme.

  • All graphical elements must be explicitly cited in the text prior to insertion.

  • Figures, tables, and charts must be numbered sequentially, in ascending order, according to their appearance in the text (Figure 1, Table 1, Chart 1, etc.).

  • Title: Must be positioned above the element.

  • Source: Must be placed below the element, indicating its origin.

  • After each figure, table, or chart, an explanatory paragraph must be included, guiding the reader regarding the relevant aspects to be observed.

  • Images must be legible, with adequate resolution, and inserted directly into the body of the text (not as separate attachments).


6. Authorship (double-blind peer review)

In accordance with the double-blind peer review system:

  • The manuscript file submitted for review must not contain any author identification, including names, institutional affiliations, or email addresses.

  • Complete author information must be provided exclusively in the submission metadata.

  • Author identification will be included only in the final version of the article, after completion of the review process.

  • The order of authorship must reflect the relevance and effective contribution of each author to the manuscript.


7. References

  • References must strictly follow ABNT NBR 6023 standards.

  • Alignment: Left-aligned

  • Font: Arial, size 12

  • Spacing: Single spacing, with a vertical space of 1.5 cm between references

8. Manuscript originality

The journal publishes original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under simultaneous review by other national or international journals.


9. Editorial process

  • Each submitted manuscript will undergo a preliminary analysis by the editorial team within three (3) business days.

  • Authors will be notified by email regarding guidelines, corrections, or adjustments requested at the editorial or review level.


10. Article length

  • Manuscripts must contain between 10 and 35 pages, according to the journal template.

  • Exceptional cases may be considered upon submission of a brief justification, at the discretion of the editorial team.


11. Number of authors

  • Each article may include up to 8 authors, with no additional charges.

  • For manuscripts with more than 8 authors, an additional fee of R$ 60.00 per extra author will be applied, limited to a maximum of 14 authors, due to indexing and citation requirements.
