ABORDAGENS FISIOTERAPÊUTICAS NO TRATAMENTO DE CRIANÇAS COM MIELOMENINGOCELE
Resumen
A mielomeningocele é uma patologia em que o tubo neural do feto em formação não tem um fechamento adequado, causando lesões nervosas pela exposição da medula, meninges, líquido cefalorraquidiano e/ou as raízes nervosas que se desenvolvem sem a proteção na região posterior do feto, podendo gerar alterações de diversos graus, variando com a quantidade de tecido nervoso exposta e a altura do comprometimento. Esse estudo trata-se de uma revisão que visa compreender as abordagens fisioterapêuticas no tratamento de crianças com mielomeningocele, o referido foi formulado com embasamento em artigos retirados das bases de dados PEDro, SciELO, PubMed e Google acadêmico, escritos em português, espanhol ou inglês. Foram excluídos artigos cuja metodologia não foi bem descrita ou seus resultados foram inconclusivos. Ao fim desta pesquisa, pode-se notar que a fisioterapia tem um papel fundamental no desenvolvimento funcional do paciente com mielomeningocele, sendo indispensável para os diferentes tipos de lesão, aumentando potencialmente as chances de a criança alcançar o equilíbrio postural e até mesmo a marcha.
