Prezados editores,
O estudo de Meireles e colaboradores é esclarecedor e contribui significativamente para o debate sobre os direitos das mulheres no contexto da saúde, além de inspirar a reflexão sobre os avanços conquistados ao longo dos anos, tratando com respeito e sensibilidade o impacto positivo para a saúde física e mental das mulheres brasileiras. Cabe ressaltar que tal análise foi instigada pela alteração da lei nº 8.080, que regulamenta o Sistema Único de Saúde, tema pouco abordado considerando os dados epidemiológicos da agressão à mulher e os traumas deixados por isso. Assim, a amplificação dos direitos, por meio da lei nº 14.737, de 27 de novembro de 2023, foi um passo importante para o direito das mulheres, assunto bem elucidado pelo artigo.¹⁻⁶
