EL PAPEL DE ENFERMERÍA EN CUIDADOS PALIATIVOS EN LA UNIDAD DE CUIDADOS INTENSIVOS

A enfermagem desempenha o seu papel de forma crucial no contexto dos cuidados paliativos, especialmente em Unidades de Terapia Intensiva destacando a importância de intervenção que não apenas visam o alívio físico, mas também o suporte emocional e espiritual tanto para pacientes quanto para suas famílias. Objetivo: Compreender a atuação da equipe de enfermagem e do enfermeiro nos cuidados paliativos em UTI. Método: revisão integrativa, no qual foi realizada a busca de estudos nas bases de dados da BVS e SCIELO publicados nos últimos cinco anos. Resultados: A síntese dos estudos selecionados permitiu categorizar três eixos temáticos, e consequentemente apontaram subcategorias temáticas dentro dos eixos quais esclarecem o papel da equipe de enfermagem nos cuidados paliativos em UTI. Conclusão: Diante disso, o papel da enfermagem nos cuidados paliativos não é só planejar e promover o cuidado a pessoa e a família aprimorando a qualidade de vida e qualidade de morte através do uso de tecnologias de cuidado que diminuam a dor, promovam o conforto e estabeleça e a inclusão dos familiares no processo de cuidados.
