CASE REPORT: ACUTE LIVER FAULURE IN A PREGNANT PATIENT

A leptospirose é uma doença febril aguda, sendo especialmente prevalente em países tropicais em desenvolvimento em todo o mundo. Ela se manifesta tanto em ambientes urbanos quanto rurais, com características distintas relacionadas a atividades ocupacionais ou recreativas. A faixa etária mais comumente afetada compreende jovens e adultos jovens. Cerca de 5% a 15% dos pacientes desenvolvem a forma grave da doença, que pode estar associada a complicações orgânicas. Este relato descreve o caso de uma paciente puérpera, admitida no Hospital UOPECCAN de Cascavel-PR, que evoluiu para insuficiência hepática aguda após alguns dias do diagnóstico de leptospirose.
