O PAPEL DA VITAMINA D NA IMUNIDADE E PERFORMANCE DE CORREDORES DE MARATONA

A vitamina D desempenha um papel fundamental na regulação do sistema imunológico, além de estar associada à saúde óssea e muscular. Atletas de endurance, como os corredores de maratona, são particularmente suscetíveis à deficiência dessa vitamina devido à exposição limitada ao sol e à maior demanda do organismo durante o treinamento intenso. Este estudo tem como objetivo investigar a relação entre a deficiência de vitamina D, a imunidade e a performance de corredores de maratona, bem como os efeitos da suplementação de vitamina D nesse contexto. A justificativa para essa pesquisa reside na importância de compreender como a vitamina D afeta tanto a imunidade quanto o desempenho atlético, visando otimizar o treinamento e prevenir doenças. Serão consultadas bases de dados acadêmicas como PubMed, Scopus e Web of Science, utilizando termos de busca específicos. Serão selecionados estudos publicados em periódicos científicos revisados por pares, focando na relação entre vitamina D, imunidade e performance em atletas de endurance, especialmente corredores de maratona. Os estudos considerados incluirão tanto observacionais quanto ensaios clínicos, abordando a prevalência de deficiência de vitamina D, os efeitos da suplementação e os mecanismos fisiológicos envolvidos. A análise dos dados será realizada de forma crítica e sistemática, identificando padrões consistentes e lacunas na literatura. Espera-se que os resultados contribuam para embasar recomendações práticas que auxiliem na melhoria da saúde e desempenho desses atletas.
